In a ceremony filled with excitement and anticipation, Tayo Deffo Loic Steve officially took the mantle of leadership as the new president of the Cameroonian Students’ Association at the Regional Maritime University (CERCARMU). The event marked a significant transition, as Steve received the presidency from the former president, S.E. Afa’aasseh Folloh Mbah, in the presence of students and invited guests.
The handing-over ceremony was more than just a transfer of power—it was a celebration of camaraderie, shared goals, and the beginning of a new chapter. Students cheered and applauded as both the outgoing and incoming presidents exchanged words of appreciation and commitment.
In his farewell speech, S.E. Afa’aasseh Folloh Mbah expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and encouraged the new leadership to build on the progress made. “It’s been an honor to lead this association,” he said, “and I trust that Steve will take CERCARMU to even greater heights.”
